When I got on my Wii Fit a little while ago and it told me I hadn't been on for 3 days, I decided I needed to do something about that. I'm lacking motivation in a major way right now. I'm not sure if it's because I have so much other stuff going on, or what, but either way, I felt so much better when I actually took the time to work out. So I decided that maybe my best way to STAY motivated is to do a daily post about how long I worked on on the Wii Fit and how many calories it says I burned during my work out. If I know that people are reading it, I'm more likely to make myself do it even if I don't want to.
Today I used my Wii Fit for 45 minutes. I did a combination of exercises from the Aerobics section and the Training Plus section. According to the counter on there, I burned 267 calories during that time.
I think my goal is going to be at least 1000 calories a week, according to the Wii Fit, and at least 3.5 hours. I'll revisit that when it gets warm enough (and the ice melts enough) to walk more outside. Since my official weigh in day is Friday, I think my Wii week will run from Saturday-Friday. So this week my goal will only be 500 calories and 90 minutes.

I think it's a great idea you are posting your totals up. It's hard to skip workouts when you are somewhat being held accountable for posting it up. I like that you aren't over doing it either. Your goals are certainly attainable!
It is soooo cold here, I am lacking the motivation to work out. My warm blanket is keeping me glued to the couch :(
Thanks! I've been known in the past to go overboard on exercise, but since I can't keep it up long term, it causes a lot of rebound weight when other things get too busy. I'm trying for a much more balanced approach this time. :)
I'm sure the cold has something to do with my motivation here, too. It's currently 4, with a windchill of -18. Compared to this time last week, this is warm, though!
